Trees and Lights 2010 (Arbres et Lumières) : a little outing for the 10th edition

by on Dec.31, 2010, under Report

It has now become an habit in Geneva, the harbor and the banks of the Rhone are adorned with light and color to suit the creativity of authors participating in the Festival Trees and Lights… And it’s also become a habit for me to walk around with my camera in hand (and tripod) after work to try to photograph them.

I only did two walks: winter weather (rain, cold, as usual, and snow, a little more than usual), a little tired at the end of the year … The second I did it during the blue hour, but by a strong wind day (it moves a lot !).

In these last days of 2010, here are my pictures on the Trees and Lights Festival 2010.

The shores of the Rhone are again blazing (“Echinodermus” created by Tilt on the Isle Rousseau and “The Venerable”created by Jerome Hutin Building on the “Rolex”)

The cathedral and “Echinodermus” (Tilt) shaken by the wind

Funny plants have grown to the Quai Guisan and the Pont de la Machine (“Ros’ôs” created by tilt). I’ve chosen this one for the contest. We’ll see…

Nearby, a “shipwreck” of globes (“Naufrage” created by Katharina Hohmann)

Place des Bergues, see how to evolve, with the strength of the calves of three cyclists, the color of the lighting of a tree according to the pedaling speed of each one… (“RVB” or Rad, Vélo, Bike created by Alexander Hürzeler)

In the English Garden (Jardin Anglais), we find an amusing image of ghosts chasing Pacman light behind bars (“Pac” designed by Bufalino Benedetto & Benoît Deseille, “9. Drawing Men “created by Ron Haselden)
