Walk in the snow at the beginning of the year
by grux on Jan.31, 2011, under Report
Flashback to the very beginning of the year : after the snowfall of Christmas which I took advantage… for taking a few pictures, the following week didn’t bring much more (if any). In mountains, at medium altitude, it wasn’t just enough.
The week after Christmas, I stayed home and under the stratus (people will recognize the Geneva Region
): shame on me over the weather was fine !
On 3 January 2011, I’m been out late in the afternoon for a short walk to enjoy some snow and the beautiful light…
360 degrees at the Rochers de Naye : another point of view
by grux on Jan.21, 2011, under Panorama 360
Few days ago, I posted a first 360° panorama from the Rochers de Naye that offers a view over the lake Leman and the Swiss Alps.
Here is another from a different point of view.
Walk by Moonlight
by grux on Jan.17, 2011, under Report
night of Saturday, January 15, 2011 was not an ideal night to do astrophotography with a digital camera without interference filter: a big gibbous Moon has dominated most of the night.
My friend took the opportunity to test its new acquisition (a nice little telescope I will not say which brand). So I’ve been there with her, not for astronomy but also to try me a little photo shoot at Moonlight in the snow. A Plaine-Joux, it still tends to miss.
Well, I enjoyed myself. I’ll let you see my humble shots.
360 degrees at the Rochers de Naye
by grux on Jan.12, 2011, under Panorama 360
“Les Rochers de Naye” is a mountain in the Swiss Alps which is at the East side of Lake Geneva, above Montreux. Its altitude is 2042 meters, above Montreux.
If you want to climb to the top, two possibilities:
- hiking (which can become “by snowshoe” or “by ski”)
- small cog railway which can take from Montreux
360 degrees at Col du Joly
by grux on Jan.11, 2011, under Panorama 360
This panoramic view below was taken on the slopes of the Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie, France) on September 2010.
I shot the unit picture during the weekend when I made my first star-trail and other astronomical pictures (cf. “Astrophotography Col du Joly (Session 2010)” et “Au Col du Joly sous les étoiles“).
