Clouds and a lunar eclipse
by grux on Jun.18, 2011, under Creations
On June 15 th, 2011, a lunar eclipse took place. In France and Haute-Savoie, it could be seen from the moonrise (the eclipse was already total) to 23:02.
After studying where the Moon would appear above the horizon, I wanted to shoot a photograph of it with the Mont-Blanc. I chose a place near Bonne offering a view on the Mont-Blanc..
Alas, this Wednesday, the clouds stayed stuck over the Alps hiding the Mont-Blanc.
One hour after the moonrise, the Moon got over the clouds. So I could take a few pictures (nothing extraordinary). Here’s one of the best (maybe the least worst !)
I also spent a few minutes for building a photograph that I would have taken with 1 photo with the Mont-Blanc (taken during the first spotting), a second one with the Moon (taken the day before the eclipse), and a little play with Photoshop…
Let’s hope the next one will be better.
