The Sun on June 19th 2011
by grux on Jul.03, 2011, under Creations
I’ve had this in my mind for a few days: the Sun’s activity is growing and I wanted to try again to capture some pictures of it with my PST (Personal Solar Telescope). Few years ago, I made some pictures with my Canon EOS 350D and PST, but it was really uneasy.
I recently bought the camera DMK 41AU02.AS allowing me to capture short AVI sequences at 15 frames per second at a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. These AVIs are processed with specialized softwares such as Registax or AVI Stack and finally with Photoshop.
Here are my first pictures (with this camera) of the Sun of June 19th 2011. I think I can obtain better result: I do this by instinct without applying a real method or reading advices… I’m going to read some documentation, posts on forum, etc in order to increase my knowedge on this kind of imagery.
