The Pointe de Miribel at dawn
by grux on Oct.05, 2011, under Report
In a previous article, I post a 360 degrees panorama I shot at the top of the Pointe de Miribel (Plaine Joux – Bogève – Haute-Savoie – France) at sunrise.
Here are the other photographs I took during this little improvised walk (well, in fact, I decided the evening before).
For have fun with photography or walk, you don’t need too much. You should know thinking outside the box (figuratively speaking of course) and, therefore, from the ordinary in the light of two tips:
- Any good photographer (I do not put myself in that category) knows that the best photos are taken in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun is low. A sun of midday or afternoon crushes everything.
- Every good hiker (I’m still not as good hiker) go for a long walk early in the morning. Make an effort in mid-afternoon in the heat is not very pleasant.
Even for a small photowalk, these tips are to take into consideration history to offer a different perspective.
These photographs (with the 360 degrees panorama) were taken on 10 September 2011 between 6:30 and 9:00, after 40 minutes walking. In some cases, you won’t see an exceptional difference, but it exists: just try and shoot at noon!
