Lights in Geneva for the end of year 2011

Every December, Geneva adorns itself with its lights… This brings a bit of joy in this end of afternoon when the night falls too early!

This year, no lights in the trees along the harbour : they climbed in the trees of the Old Town. It helps for changing habits.

Lake Geneva at sunrise

In early April 2011, I posted some photos I took during a morning walk by the lake
Geneva at dawn. This time, I didn’t get up earlier than usual : the Sun rose after 7 AM.

End of mai 2011, I wanted to do an other early photowalk, but just after the sunrise. Well, Là, ce fut un peu plus rude :at this period of year the sun is very early morning! I had to be also early morning!

Geneva at dawn

Enjoying a short period of nice weather and a furious desire to call, 6, 7 and 8 April 2011, I’ve been to Geneva half hour before going to work.

The idea was to have a different view of Geneva and Lake Geneva in a calm atmosphere and quite remote from daily swarming with a flaming sky (well not always) and calm waters .

Trees and Lights 2010 (Arbres et Lumières) : a little outing for the 10th edition

It has now become an habit in Geneva, the harbor and the banks of the Rhone are adorned with light and color to suit the creativity of authors participating in the Festival Trees and Lights… And it’s also become a habit for me to walk around with my camera in hand (and tripod) after work to try to photograph them.

I only did two walks: winter weather (rain, cold, as usual, and snow, a little more than usual), a little tired at the end of the year … The second I did it during the blue hour, but by a strong wind day (it moves a lot !).

In these last days of 2010, here are my pictures on the Trees and Lights Festival 2010.
