The Pointe de Miribel at dawn
by grux on Oct.05, 2011, under Report
In a previous article, I post a 360 degrees panorama I shot at the top of the Pointe de Miribel (Plaine Joux – Bogève – Haute-Savoie – France) at sunrise.
Here are the other photographs I took during this little improvised walk (well, in fact, I decided the evening before).
Walking in Haute-Savoie : Lake Arvouin and Pointe d’Arvouin

Without intending to be chauvinistic about my region, I love my region (Savoie / Alpes du Nord). Indeed, although I do not go on holiday at the other end of the France or the world (I’m not going further than the Portugal), I enjoy every time the beautiful landscapes Alps offer me: what makes the holidays to do their effect
I performed the walk that I present here in June 2011 (I’m a little late in sorting my pictures).
Walking in Haute-Savoie : to the Mont Baron
by grux on May.08, 2011, under Report
During my summer vacation 2010, I resumed with my friend small mountain walks. After the Mont Forchat, with a different of heightof about 150m, (and with a cheese fondue in the stomach) and the Grande Pointe des Journées, with its difference of height of 287 m, we decide to keep the same difficulty.
The choice is a walk to the Mont Baron above Bernex (in France) and near the Dent d’Oche.
Walk in Haute-Savoie : Grande Pointe des Journées
by grux on Mar.27, 2011, under Report
Here is an idea of hiking with in the end, some nice pictures of mountain landscapes: a little walk to the Grande Pointe des Journées (1722 m). It is an alternative (very) easy to the Mont Billiat (1894 m) to hikers and without great physical condition like me
.
The Grande Pointe des Journées, with the Mont Billiat, is part of the small mountain range surrounded by the valley Brevon and the valley Aulps, and closes the valley Bellevaux.
